Old Scottsville Road Fall Foliage (Alvaton, KY)

Bike:  KTM Super Duke R
Route:  Google Maps

I'm not sure when the colors actually peak around here, but I'm sure we're close.  The country roads are downright beautiful right now.  A few days ago I stuck a GoPro through the sunroof to get this pic somewhere in a neighboring county.

Somewhere in Barren County.  Or Allen County.

That turned out well, so today I did a few passes on my favorite road at different times of the day using two different cameras.  The pics below aren't as good as the sunroof picture above, mostly because the helmet-mounted camera is pointed slightly downward and therefore captures more tarmac than tree tops.  And I'm certain the colors were better yesterday under a cloudy sky, so maybe I missed it by one day?  Anyway, here's my favorite road at my favorite time of year...

UPDATE (10/20/13):  Interesting to note that the colors aren't even close to peaking yet -- Spring colors were late, but Fall colors seem to be even later this year. The AFD Open House was cool this year as Little Man got to sit in the pilot's seat before watching the heli take off...

UPDATE (11/2/13):  Some pics from Old Scottsville Road and Romanza Johnson park, including a few GoPro Hero3 shots...
